Reece grew up in Armour, South Dakota. He graduated from Armour High School in 2012. He attended the University of Kansas and South Dakota State University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and minoring in Leadership Studies. After graduation, Reece attended the University of South Dakota School of Law, where he spent a summer studying in China. Reece also worked as a law clerk at Costello Porter Law Firm in the summer of 2018.

Reece graduated with his Juris Doctorate in May of 2019 from the USD School of Law. After graduation, he joined Costello Porter as an associate attorney.

Reece enjoys hunting, hiking, reading, playing sports, and traveling.
